Saturn Transition

Published on December 5, 2007 by in Uncategorized

Saturn dealerships in the U.S. are going through a transition to GM’s Global Warranty Management (GWM) system. The transition isn’t an easy one because it was expected that Saturn dealerships would be on the Reynolds system before it happened.

Currently Saturn dealerships are still on the ADP system that they’ve had for years and it hasn’t been upgraded to handle GWM because it was expected dealerships would be up and running on the Reynolds system before GWM launched.

Since the Reynolds system designed for Saturn dealerships is not ready for prime time, Saturn dealerships are still on the ADP system and are using workarounds to submit claims.

The transition is getting murkier because now GM and Reynolds are in a legal battle over the new system and that makes me wonder if the launch of the new Reynolds system will be pushed back further. It’s hard to say how long before things are cleared up with the transition to GWM and when the Reynolds system will make its way into Saturn dealerships.
